Lorraine O’Neal was born and raised in Anchorage. She accepted Christ at summer camp in 1967, then married Eugene in 1971, shortly after graduating from West High. Proving miracles are still for today, she is still married! They have one daughter, Grace Jackson. Lorraine fell in love with the Word of God and enthusiastically teaches anyone who will listen. She’s taught foundation bible study classes for new believers since the early 80’s. Lorraine was a prayer leader and teacher at City Church for 10 years, where she developed and led inner healing workshops and Hearing the Voice of God workshop. Prior to City Church, Lorraine was a leader with Vineyard Church for 17 years and recently returned to a new church start with Mountain Coast Vineyard Church, where she is leading prayer ministry. Additionally, Lorraine writes daily devotional posts on her FB page. One of Lorraine’s favorite things is talking! And she takes opportunities seriously. She spent several years in Toastmasters, winning many awards. In 2001 she was elected Toastmaster of the Year for Alaska. There is a lighter side to Lorraine too. For the past 10 years, she has partnered with a friend doing Christian Comedy. She firmly believes that everything goes better with laughter and she has a wonderful sense of humor whenever she teaches. In 2015 Lorraine joined the board at the Downtown Hope Center, and currently serves as their Board President. She is active in this ministry teaching weekly bible studies to guests in the Homeless Shelter, leading their prayer ministries and training new volunteers. In 2016, Lorraine was ordained as a Pastor/Teacher through A Voice in the Wilderness Ministries. She loves people, and spends her time praying, mentoring, disciplining, encouraging and being a friend too many. Lorraine is an active leader in Anchorage for the National Day of Prayer, mobilizing leaders and churches to pray for America.
